Guiltless Banana Pudding

Eat this sweet treat without feeling guilty – it contains bananas, which just so happen to be great for your heart health.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fat-free milk
  • 1 (3 oz. to 4 oz.) package fat-free vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 8 oz. frozen nonfat whipped topping, thawed
  • 2/3 cup fat-free sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice, or to taste
  • 20 reduced-fat vanilla wafers, whole or crushed
  • 2 medium bananas, sliced

Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk or beat milk and pudding mix until thick.
  2. Add in whipped topping, condensed milk, and lemon juice.
  3. Layer half the vanilla wafers, half the bananas, and half the pudding mix in a 8-inch square glass dish or 9 individual bowls, then repeat.
  4. Put plastic wrap directly on top of pudding and put in your refrigerator for at least one hour.
